Fall Beauty Wishlist 2015

Hey beauties, I decided I'd show you a few makeup & skincare items I've been lusting over for fall and Winter. Some of these may take a while to get but Christmas is coming up, so you never know!  Let's get into it :)

maximize for greater detail!

1. Yves Saint Laurent Lipstick in 09 "Caress Pink" I've been lusting after YSL lipsticks for so long but right now I can not justify paying 34 dollars for a lipstick, I do think it would make a great birthday or Christmas present for any makeup loving girl! For fall I have my eyes on Caress Pink, it's a gorgeous sort of muted pink with a hint of raspberry and it swatches so beautifully opaque! Go swatch it in Sephora and see what I mean, it may quickly make it on to your wishlist too!

2. Nars Blush in "Sin" I've been eying Sin for a whiiiile now, but again I can't justify the price currently. This blush is a great wearable berry tone with golden shimmer. The perfect fall flush, if you will. This or Albatross will most definitely be my first Nars purchase. Plus, I've searched for a dupe of Sin and can never come up with anything so this blush may be one of a kind and therefore worth the money :)

3. Mac Pro Longwear Concealer This concealer is all the rage on Youtube and the beauty blogging community and it's obvious to see why. The formula is super long wearing and has some sort of technology to where it does not settle into fine lines and wrinkles, which makes it GREAT for under eyes. I want it so badly and Fall/Winter is the perfect to wear a more full coverage look, plus I've heard a little goes a looong way so it will last a long time!

4. Peter Thomas Roth Peeling Gel Exfoliant I have to admit I have never been very interested in high end skincare but am starting to develop an interest a few items and this is number 1 on the list! This exfoliater is a gel formula that actually peels off the dead skin cells right in front of your eyes, which I find ideal because you can tell it's working! Look up reviews and demos if your interested, it's super neat and unique and if you're like me you have to exfoliate especially in the Fall & Winter months.

5. Revlon Lipstick "Cherries in the Snow" This lipstick is simply gorgeous, I read somewhere the color has been around since the 1950's and makes even more perfect and lady like. I've put off buying this even though it's inexpensive because I'm not sure how much I'd wear it but I know I really want to, haha. It's a bright, raspberry pink and I know it would look great with just foundation and tons of lashes. Do you ladies have any tips for making a bright lipstick more wearable?

6. Mac Eyeshadow in "Coppering" If you don't already own this shade google swatches of Coppering and see if it instantly doesn't make it on your wishlist. It's a shimmery rusty orange bronze color that's simply incredibly beautiful, I. must. own. it. haha It's also not a common color you see often! I think it would be great smudged under the lower lash line or in the middle of the lip, it's a must have!

7. Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion I read somewhere that a bottle of this is sold about every 10 seconds, which I find completely insane. It's been around forever and it's seems to be a staple for a lot of women and my {normal to dry} skin is always looking for a good moisturizer! It's suppose to quench skin's thirst and I love that it has a pump applicator!

While that does it for my Fall beauty wishlist! What do you ladies have on current wishlists? I'd love to know in a comment below, as always thanks for reading and subscribing! I love my lovely readers & will be having a giveaway in the next month so be on the look out for that :)

Until next time,
Leah xo

Get Kylie Jenner's lip look for UNDER 2 dollars!?

I know everyone and their brother has been doing blogs and tutorials on Kylie's makeup for the last month or so BUT in true hug, kiss, makeup fashion I wanted to bring you how to get Kylie's lipstick look as cheap as humanly possible (and all while still being a great dupe!) sound good? GREAT, let's get into it!

So what product under 2 dollars can provide the Kylie's nude/mauvey/browny perfection you ask? Easy, Jordana's Lip Liner in "Rock n Rose" it is perfect on so many levels! It's a lip liner so you can line your lips and you can choose to over line them (the way Kylie does) if you'd like. It's matte, long wearing and it's so incredibly cheap!

Swatch appears a bit more brown than it appears in person

You can purchase Rock n' Rose liner at Walgreens, Kmart and Amazon where it retails for just $1.99. Also, just a side note I recommend the entire range of Jordana liners they're long wearing, pigmented and simply amazing for the price point.

This swatch is more accurate! Photo cred: here.

What do you think? I think it's the perfect nude/dusty color and if you can't stand the thought of it being totally matte you can always add lipstick (I recommend Loreal's fairest nude) or even a gloss.

Thanks so much for reading and as always please share and subscribe!

Love, Leah

How to organize a small bathroom! + Bathroom tour

Hey ladies I'm sooo sorry I've been MIA for a while now! I moved into a new apartment about a month ago and on top of that have a crazy, busy work schedule! All excuses aside... I've missed you guys and blogging in general! Today I'm going to show you my bathroom and the way I organize a rather small space, some things maybe be somewhat obvious in a bathroom {buying a shower caddy, etc} others ...not so much! So I hope you can gain some useful tips and information from my post!

So I will preface by saying that I have the luxury of having this bathroom to myself! My fiance and I moved into a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment so he has his things in the guest bathroom and has no problem keeping separate bathrooms! But even if we had to share {and we definitely have before} he doesn't have too many toiletries should it wouldn't change my set up too much.

So let's get into to it, here is an overview on my bathroom!

First, I'll show you some of the decor and also some easy storage hints!

  • adding a storage box to the back of toilet is an easy way to add MORE storage and also a convenient place to put unmentionables *cough* tampons, etc. haha I also store q-tips, cotton pads (for makeup removal) and makeup remover wipes! Box is from AC Moore, similar here.

  • Note: Some may find my shower curtain loud and possibly juvenile but I can't help it it just makes me happy haha Shower Curtain: Ross, similar styles here Keys: Tuesday Mornings Towels: Target

Overview of the sink area, now more on the organization:

  • I obsessed with this idea! Keep a small container {glass candle-like holder, basket, etc} filled with sample products all us women have too many of! This way they're out, you see them and you're more likely USE them, which is the point right...? Container: TJ Maxx

  • This SHOULD go without saying shower caddy are absolutely essential and if you don't have one, you're seriously missing out on a serious space saver and de-clutterer. As you can see I LOVE my hair/bath products so mines pretty full but that's okay... that is what they're for.

  • If you're lucky enough to have a medicine cabinet these are life savers as far as storage goes! Mines very run of the mill, I have things organize by size and also by way they are, like the bottom shelf is all skincare/face stuff.

If you DO NOT have a medicine cabinet my tips for organizing under the sink would be PERFECT for recreating a medicine cabinet-like feel! Now on to under the sink...

    •  On the left side of the cabinet I upcycled a 3 drawer plastic container I wasn't using and use it for hair accessory storage {more details on that to come} and on top I keep things I constant reach for: my hairbrush, hairspray, dry shampoo & heat protectant . I also keep my cleansing system from Rite aid aka a knock off Clarisonic and my teeth whitening kit.

    • Clockwise from top left: the 1st drawer has all my soft headbands and the small cylinder container has tiny ponytail holders, 2nd drawer has hard headbands and more ponytail holders, 3rd drawer has bun makers and a terry cloth headband that I use to pull my hair back when I wash my face.
    • Obviously, you can customize these drawers to YOUR needs but that fact that you can organize your madness and have room for other things in the cabinet is a win, win!

    •  On the right side of the cabinet, though it looks less organized it's still very functional! The blue basket stores hair tools like my straightener and blow dryer, also hair clips and an extra brush, behind that I have extra toilet paper and a towel to wipe down the sink area. In front, I have face toner and wash on the left and hair serums and leave in conditioners on the right!
So far this lay out and set up has really been working for me! It's easy to keep clean and it's so nice to have everything have it's own home. Were any of these tips surprising or new for you? What tip is YOUR favorite? Anything you think I missed? Let me know in a comment below! :)

As always thanks for reading and until next time!

My favorite Wet n Wild ONE dollar lipsticks!

Hey beauties! Sorry I've been a little MIA for the past week, I started a full time job recently {I'll talk more about it in my Friday post} the hours have been quite the adjustment but so far I'm loving it especially since it's in the Makeup industry! Anyway, I wanted to share with you my favorite Wet n Wild dollar lipsticks ...yes that's right dollar lipsticks! Not to mention sometimes Rite Aid & Walgreens have Wet n Wild 30-40% off, so sometimes you can get them for as little as 60 cents and THAT my lovelies is a bargain! So, let's get into it :)

Maximize for MUCH more detail! L to R: no flash & artificial light, with flash, no flash & natural light
L to R: Blushing Bali, Cherry Frost, Copper Dust, Dark Wine
*Note all of these lipsticks are a glossy, creme finish.

    1. 545 A Blushing Bali This obviously the tamest color of the bunch and I think it would be appropriate for all seasons, but if you're of a natural girl you need this color! It's a great nudey peach color, it totally reminds me of Mac's Ravishing but I can't for sure say that they're dupes or anything because I don't own Ravishing. If you want a easy, no fuss shade and can't get enough of peach/natural corals definitely pick this up!

    2. 514 A Cherry Frost This color is a beautiful, pretty unique red hue, in the pictures it shows up as a kind of standard retro red but it actually has great raspberry tones in it in person. It's kind of like if a red and hot pink got together and had a baby. Also *DUPE ALERT* it's an absolute dupe for the limited edition Mac lipstick "Ronnie Red" {from the Archie girls collection} see the comparison here! And honestly what's better than a Mac dupe for a dollar? Even if it's a color you may rarely use it's still very much worth the money!

    3. 529 B Copper Dust The name to this gorgeous shade is pretty actually it coppery, rusty color with strong pink tones as well. It's pretty unique shade and I don't own anything like it. Because of the glossy, creme finish it's great almost iridescence and it can look slightly different in natural vs. artificial light. If you are scared of orange toned lipsticks try this... because it's mainly pink with a hint of copper it's a prefect way to ease into bolder colors!

    4. 522 A Dark Wine Talk about the perfect fall/winter lipstick shade! This is the quintessential wine/plum shade it's so pretty and I think it would be flattering on a variety of skin tones. What's great about the creme formula is that if you are hesitant to wear a darker shade like this you can apply it very lightly or apply a lighter shade over top of it to get a more natural or wearable look! Plus if you don't think you'll wear it much, but still want a plum or wine shade in your collection this one is a winner since it won't break the bank!

Well there you have it my favorite Wet n Wild dollar lipsticks! Do you have any dollar lipsticks you love? leave me a comment and let me know. If you take anything away from this post remember just because it's cheap doesn't mean it doesn't perform well and Wet n Wild is a prime example of that! Until next my beauties, take care.

My Beauty Favorites Under 5 Dollars!

Hey beauties! I hope you had a great weekend and this week will be as well! If you have followed my blog for a while now you know I'm big on bargains and also drugstore makeup, I love finding inexpensive things that work just as well as high end or designer! So, I'm going to show my beauty favorites under 5 dollars & also throw in some high end dupes as well! Let's get started :)

    1. e.l.f. Studio Blushes, $3

e.l.f.'s studio blushes are great for a beginner to blush or to any blush-aholic {hello, I'm Leah and I have a problem!} the packaging is similar to the coveted Nars blushes but with only a 3 dollar price tag, these are the perfect cheap alternative. These are pigmented, easy to work with and just all around great quality! My favorites are candid coral (top, center), berry merry (top, right) and pink passion (bottom, right)! If you are interested in these be sure to subscribe to eyeslipsface.com's emails because they are regularly doing coupon codes, free shipping, etc. so you can get a even better deal!

    2. Wet n Wild bronzer, 3.99
Wet n Wild's Bronzer in a "Ticket to Brazil" is absolutely gorgeous, it's not too dark or too light and I believe would be perfect on a variety of skin tones! It has a subtle golden sheen that is not too over powering, it would be great to had a slight glow to the cheeks or even to contour with! Plus, this baby is HUGE, it's .46 oz {compared a Mac blush is .21 oz} And the best part? It is a dupe for Tarte's shimmery verison of their bronzer Park Ave. Princess which retails for 29 dollars! A 4 dollar dupe for a 29 dollar product? Yes please!

    3. Jordana Lipliners, 1.99
    Jordana Lip Liners are my holy grail lip liner of choice! First off, they are dirt cheap but they also come in a great variety of colors! They don't have to be sharpened... which a lot of the more expensive ones still do. Most importantly though, they have absolutely great color pay off and they are super long lasting, what more could you want? My favorites are: tawny {a muted mauvey pink, goes with just about anything}, rock n' rose {a light brown, works great to deepen coral lipstick} and cabernet {dark wine color, perfect for plum/berry lips}

    4. Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Primer, 4.99
Wet n Wild Fergie Eyeshadow Primer This primer's called "Take On the Day" and really does just that. This stuff stays in place like nobody's business, I've wore my eye shadows for 12+ hours without a single crease or smudge! I did an in depth review of the shimmery version in this post {I also compare the original to the shimmery, etc. they BOTH work great!} I've heard others say this is comparable to the Nars eyeshadow primer, I don't own the Nars one so I'm not positive. I do know for me this works BETTER than too faced shadow insurance and that alone is awesome, considering the price different!

    5. Nivea Lip Butter, 3.99
Nivea Lip Butter has quickly become my "can't live without it" lip balm! I swore by Carmax chapstick for 5+ years and I literally wouldn't use ANYTHING else. But, in the past couple months I just thought it wasn't doing much for my lips, like my lips had become immune to it or something haha So I picked up 2 Nivea lip butters when they were 2/$3 at Rite aid and they have CHANGED my lips! They are light weight and creamy, and really do seem to work magic! Plus of course they smell amazing, I love caramel cream followed closely by vanilla & macadamia. These are worth the money even if they aren't on special, plus I have a feeling they'll last forever as well!

    6. Wet n Wild Eyeshadows 4.99 and under
Wet n Wild Eyeshadows are simply the best for cheap, QUALITY eyeshadows! {I know you faithful readers of my blog are probably like "Enough already! We know you love wet n wild!" haha} I'm simply obsessed with most things Wet n Wild, but their eyeshadows truly are wonderful and I've never had a bad trio or palette for them, you can't go wrong! My favorite trios are Walking on Eggshells & Silent Treatment and my favorite 8 pan palette is most definitely Comfort Zone I will be doing a in depth dupes post on this palette soon, pretty much all colors are Mac dupes! If you haven't tried Wet n Wild just pick up one trio I promise you, you'll be back for more!

Well that you have it, my go to beauty products UNDER 5 dollars! Do you love anything I mentioned or will you now try something I showed? Let me know in a comment! Thanks so much for reading, until next time!

5 Lipsticks to help you transition into Fall!

Hey beauties! I hope your week is going well AND that you are looking forward to having a fabulous weekend! Today I am bringing you 5 lip colors that are PERFECT for transitioning into Fall, they're not too bold or too summery ...they are just right! Plus all of them are from the drugstore and 2 are only a one dollar! So let's dive in!

L to R: Wet n Wild Wine Room, Revlon Rosewine, NYC Sheer Red, e.l.f. classy, Maybelline bit of berry

{maximize for more detail} Top picture: natural light. Bottom picture: with flash

    1. Wet n Wild "Wine Room" This shade is great mix of pinky, berry tones with a hint of red. The formula is a matte finish and is super opaque with just a swipe! Since it's matte it's super long lasting {especially for a drugstore formula} without being overly drying. This is a beautiful shade and I think it would be very flattering on a variety of skin tones! Price: $2

    2. Revlon's "Rosewine" If you're intimidated by red lipstick this is a great color to ease your way into reds! It's a softer, more brick or tomato color! It's Revlon's super lustrous creme finish, so it will give you the perfect amount of shine without having to add a gloss! Try this for a "no fuss" way to rock a red lip! Price: $5-7

    3. NYC's "Sheer Red" This lipstick is exactly like it's name... a sheer darkened red color! {for your reference the swatch above is 2 coats} I'd like to think this lipstick is kind of like a marriage between a Revlon lip butter and a lipstick: it's creamy and buttery but also has great color! This again, is a great way to wear red if you are just starting out with bold colors or just want a sheer wash of color! Price: $1

    4. e.l.f.'s "Classy" I like to think of this shade as a great drugstore alternative to Mac's "Up the Amp" it's a mix of pink and purple tones, but it's still very wearable {more wearable than up the amp IMO!} I don't think I could pull off up the amp, but I do think this lipstick is very flattering for having purple tones! If you're all about baby pink lips, try this out for a hint of pink, with darker tones for fall! :) Price: $1

    5. Maybelline's "Bit of Berry" If you just can't wait to rock a plum/berry toned lip, this lipstick is for you! Bit of berry is a super wearable berry shade which darkens the lips without being too much. Think of it as a darken version of your favorite pink! Again, a great tone to ease yourself into wearing berrys and plums! P.S. I just swatched this beside Mac's Craving and it's a dead on dupe! 5 dollar Mac dupe, score! Price: $5-7

There you have it, what do you think of my color choices? Do you have any lipstick recommendations that are perfect to ease into the Fall season? Please, share in a comment below! Until next time!

Review: Wet n' Wild Fergie LE Shimmer Eye Primer!

Hello beauties! I'm back with another review, I'm making sure to bring you this promptly since the Fergie Shimmer eye primer is limited edition! I believe it is exclusively at Walgreens, so if you are interested get your hands on it now while you can! Since the Wet n Wild "take on the day" original formula eye primer is my holy grail primer, I was so excited when I heard this was part of the fall collection! Note: this post is picture heavy!

    The deets:

Wet n Wild Shimmer Take on the day Eyeshadow Primer
Claims: Prep & Prime, Lasts All Day, Never Creases
    "Shade": A little party...
    Amount: 0.34 fl oz
FYI, it is also cruelty free! :)

Just wanted to point out something I found rather interesting:

I don't know if it was just the tube I bought but there was noticeably LESS product in the Shimmer formula primer compared to my original which has been used quite a bit. This kind of annoyed me, but I will probably be using the Shimmer formula less anyway (since I love matte shadows!) so it's all good! Just a heads up. Now on to swatches!

The color of the primer comes across as a shimmery champagne, almost rose gold color. But it also changes in the light it looks almost silver toned on the eyes. It's interesting and would look pretty cool just on it's own IMO!

Primer lightly applied on my eye without shadow. Note: you could get more color payoff if you used more product.
Next step was to test this baby out! First, I wanted to see if it was just as good as the original formula! So, on Saturday I primed my left eye with the shimmer primer and my right eye with the original.

Shimmer formula on left side eye, Original formula on right side & eye.

To the trained eye you can see it's definitely more shimmery on the left side, it's was even more apparent in person! I also used a matte shadow in the crease, so it will turn your matte shades into slightly shimmery ones from what I've experienced thus far. So I wore this look from about 10 am till 6 pm on Saturday, then our power went out (for the night!) and I had to make a mad dash to the shower before the built up hot water was gone! So here is the look at 6pm:

After 8 hours of wear! Left pic: Shimmer eye Right pic: Matte eye (L), Shimmer eye (R)
So after 8 hours there was no creasing or even fading! I knew the original formula could do that, no problem but I very happy to see that shimmer formula could do it as well!

So the next day I put the shimmer formula to the ultimate test: 12 hours! It was actually a little more than that but I had a busy day of family time and running around! So let's how the primer and my shadow fared!

Sorry about the different lighting 9am: natural light, 9pm: artificial light

As you can see there is no creasing! The bottom picture appears that the eyeshadow may of faded a little bit, but it is the difference in light source for the photo! I made sure to examine the shadow through out the day and it held up very well! Better than my eyeliner in some places as you can see from the 9pm picture lol

    ignore my ratchet eyeliner haha

Over all I am very impressed! If you need a great, cheap eyeshadow primer I would recommend the shimmer and the original! If you're a glitter girl I would say you definitely want to try and get your hands on the Shimmer formula while you can! Any primer that can keep your eyeshadow on for more than 12 hours without ANY creasing, is a winner in my book.

What do you ladies think? Are you interested in the shimmer version? How do you think the eyeshadow wore on my lids? Please comment below and let me know :)

Thanks so much for reading, if you have any questions feel free to ask! Until next time,
